Some of Sarasota’s most desirable homes are nestled in established neighborhoods, bordering the ocean, just west of Tamiami Trail. It’s no secret that this area is prime real estate offering easy access to the Gulf, quaint neighborhoods and small hubs for businesses and the surrounding communities.
When we refer to “West of the Trail,” we are talking about Tamiami Trail or US 41, which runs all the way from Miami to Tampa. The area lies on the west side of South Tamiami Trail, closest to the bay, and is refined by Mound Street in the north and Bay Road to the south.
Homes here are best defined as historic, with mature trees and plenty of charm. Residents here find appeal in the exceptional schools, convenience to Downtown Sarasota, the shops and restaurants nearby and, of course, the ocean!
