East of 75
Sarasota, Florida is not all beaches and boat days. As you approach the center of the state, heading east of I-75, a whole new world of lush greenery and new development is thriving. As you head past the interstate, you may find that Sarasota opens up to new communities welcoming young families and entertaining an array of lifestyles from equestrian lovers to die-hard golfers.
Neighborhoods like Gator Creek, Hidden Creek and Laurel Oak Estates are among the most iconic east of I-75 communities, however if you continue past the hubbub, you will notice the immediate equestrian transformation. This is real Florida living.
Spanish moss drapes off of century-old oak trees as you pass into the Myakka Estates area, where traditional Florida ranch homes sit on masses of acreage and horses graze in expansive pastures. It is not unusual for your owner to have stables, or for you to pass riders hacking along the scenic roads here. Equestrian centers thrive in these neighborhoods, and there are ample activities to enjoy, from polo to horse riding.
